Chiral Separations
Rilas’ preparative chiral separation can be used for samples ranging from milligrams up to 200 g quantities of discovery research compounds, templates, intermediates, drug candidates.
Turnaround Time:
<5 days for racemic amount of 2 g or less and 10 business days or less for 2 to 10 grams
Success Rate: >95%
Method Development and Optimization:
• For each sample, using ~2mg, Rilas will perform an analytical scale screening of 7 columns from Chiral Technologies and Regis Technologies (AD-H, IC, AS-H, OD H, OJ-H, IG-H and Whelk-01) using a 5 –55% modifier (methanol, ethanol, 2-Propanol) gradient in CO2 to determine best method column/modifier for chiral separation of the sample. Diethylamine is used if it is needed to improve separation.
• Following the gradient screening, an optimized isocratic separation of the enantiomers is developed using the best modifier/column combination. The analytical separations are carried out by an Agilent 1260 Infinity II equipped with MS and UV/VIS detector.
Scale-up and Preparative Separation:
• The optimized method is then scaled-up to a 21 x 250 mm column using Waters SFC 80 system.
